Dwight Gooden known to Mets fans as Doc or Dr. K epitomized the Gotta believe Mets in the mid- 80s. Throughout his career Doc was a fearless pitcher who helped lead the Mets to a World Series Championship in 1986. He finished his career with the cross-town rival Yankees and with a .634 winning percentage and 2293 strikeouts to his credit. And during the Yankees magical 1996 season Gooden pitched a no-hitter against the Mariners on May 14. The player who routinely hit 95 mph on the radar gun as a rookie in 1984 was back for one more fleeting unforgettable moment. Doc Gooden has hand signed this 8x10 photograph of him being carried off the field by teammates after throwing his no-hitter. A Steiner Sports Certificate of Authenticity is included.
