When he was at his highest peak in the early 1970s no one was better than Johnny Miller. At the 1973 U.S. Open, Johnny was six strokes behind going into the final round, when he stunned the field by shooting a 63, to capture the championship, the lowest round in major championship history. His outstanding career on the PGA Tour was capped with a 1994 victory at the AT&T Pebble Beach Pro-Am, his 24th PGA Tour title. He won the British Open in 1976 for his second major . In 1974, Johnny Miller received PGA Tour Player of the Year honors, after winning eight times.
