Its no secret that the worlds best peppermint comes from Oregon. Gently hand-screened for perfect leaf size, it infuses a full, creamy flavor with distinct chocolate notes and an intense finish. A great after dinner treat or midday breath freshener.
This small batch of tea was personally crafted for you by Steven Smith, teamaker. Its beautifully simple, really. Just carefully chosen lots of freshly-harvested peppermint from our friends on the other side of Mt. Hood. About 35 years ago, Smith began working with farmers here in Oregon to introduce their peppermint tea to the world. Prior to that all we had was that Egyptian mint dust. Thanks, Steve.
Inside the Smith Sachet
The shape is not unusual, but the artistry inside is unique. Our roomy, relaxed fit sachet encourages greater expansion to give you better flavor. Its also biodegradable. After steeping, you can sashay straight to the compost heap.
